MOUNT PLEASANT MILLS — Andria (Mengel) Sprenkel, 36, of Mount Pleasant Mills, passed in peace on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at the Hershey Medical Center from complications of a heart condition. She was hospitalized four weeks before her death.
She was born Sept. 17, 1976, in Sunbury, a daughter of Donna Mengel and the late Michael “Tip” Mengel Jr.
She graduated from Middleburg High School in 1994.
Andria will be fondly remembered for her quirky sense of humor and kind heart. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and loved art, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the beach, good music and could often be found reading mystery novels.
She is survived by her mother and Joel, of Mount Pleasant Mills; one sister and brother-in-law, Casey and Justin Sheaffer and their son, Jack, of Mechanicsburg; grandparents, Mike and Sandra Mengel, of Mount Pleasant Mills, and Albert and Dee Drumheller, of Middleburg; aunts and uncles, Grover and Charlotte Portzline, of Mount Pleasant Mills, Doug and Kellie Miller, of Kreamer, and Donald and Cheryl Miller, of Middleburg; numerous cousins; the Mitzi Feister family and many loving friends. She was previously married to Fred Sprenkel, who survives.
She was preceded in death by her Me-Maw, Gladys Reitz, and maternal grandfather, Donald Miller Sr.
A celebration of life service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills, with Pastor Deb Dailey officiating and Frosty Hoffman assisting.
A private burial service will be held at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills.
