LEWISBURG — Carolyn June Touchtone, 80, of 50 N. Third St., passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.
She was born May 27, 1933, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Arthur and Carrie Viola (Renn) Newman.
Carolyn worked as a supervisor of central supply and sterilization at the former Humana, now Columbia Hospital, West Palm Beach, Fla., for 20 years.
While living in Florida, she enjoyed going shelling with her family. Carolyn was also fond of quilting and rug hooking.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Dale E. and Sue-Etta M. Long, of Frederick, Md.; one daughter, Yvonne D. Touchtone, of Lake Mary, Fla.; four grandchildren, Frank D. Scalise III, Joseph G. Scalise and his wife, Elaine, Melissa M. Meech and her husband, Scott, and Jason D. Long and his partner, Mark Jones; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Howard, Robert, Donald and Arthur “Bucky” Newman; and one sister, Vivian Raup.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Florida.
The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis streets, Lewisburg.
