LEWISBURG — Emily M. “Bid” Diggan, 90, formerly of Schoolhouse Lane, Turbotville, passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.
Born August 3, 1922, in Turbot Twp., she was a daughter of the late Byron E. and Sara Catherine (Balliet) Yeager. She was married to Robert M. Diggan for 57 years until his death May 28, 1998.
Bid owned and operated the Bob & Bid’s Café in Washingtonville with her husband for 22 years until 1986 and also worked at the former Turbotville hosiery factory.
Bid was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Turbotville, and attended Milton High School.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia A. and Dean Pfleegor, of Milton; seven grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
Bid, in addition to her parents and husband, was preceded in death by one son; Randal Diggan and two brothers, Harold “Tim” Yeager and Byron “Dick” Yeager.
Friends and family are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville, where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Erwin C. Roux, officiating.
Burial will follow in Presbyterian Cemetery, McEwensville.
