Richard Deihl, 63, Orangeville

— ORANGEVILLE — Richard Deihl, 63, of Orangeville, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at the Bloomsburg Hospital.

He was born May 24, 1947, in Danville, a son of the late Leon and Virginia (Buckalew) Deihl. On June 22, 1968, he married the former Jill Gordner who survives.

Rick graduated from Millville High School in 1965. After high school he served in the Navy from 1965 until 1969.

He was employed by Young Farm Supply, Farrs Hardware and from 1971 until present, he was the president of Deihl Vault and Precast, Inc. He had served on the Millville School board for 32 years.

He was a member of the Christian Gospel Fellowship, and chairman of the board at Katy’s Church. He is a member of the Central Susquehanna Builder Association, West Branch Builders Association, State College Builders Association, National Concrete Burial Vault Association, Natural Precast Concrete Association and Pennsylvania Precast Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Faith Deihl, and Matthew and Brooke Deihl, and four grandchildren, Karley, Kirstyn, Kyle and Olyvia, all of Orangeville; two brothers, Ronald Deihl and companion, Penny Copeland, of Bloomsburg, and Daniel Deihl and wife, Joann, of Danville; four sisters, Deborah and husband, Victor Robbins, of Millville, Peggy and husband, Larry Levan, Diane and husband, James Kehoe, and Linda Demott and companion, Dwayne Wynings, all of Bloomsburg.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bunnell Funeral Home, Inc., 179 E. Main St., Millville. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Christian Gospel Fellowship, Route 42, Millville, with Pastor Paul Converse and Pastor John Brosious officiating.

Burial will be at Millville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rick’s memory to Katy’s Church.
