Gregory P. Faust, 50, Sunbury

— SUNBURY — Gregory P. Faust, 50, formerly of Sunbury, passed away at 3:10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Emmanuel Center for Nursing, Danville, where he lived for 2½ years. He was in failing health for four years.

He was born May 15, 1963, in Bellefonte, a son of Barry F. and Viola L. (George) Faust, of Danville. His early years were spent in Riverside, and he lived in Sunbury for 20 years before entering the nursing home.

Greg was a 1983 graduate of Columbia-Montour Vocational-Technical School.

He was employed by Sunbury Motors for 17 years as an auto detailer, last working in May 2011.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Danville.

Greg enjoyed model trains, especially Lionel and American Flyer. He was an avid sports fan and rooted for the Dallas Cowboys, Notre Dame and the New York Yankees.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandmother, Marie Faust, of Norristown; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeffrey A. and Kay Faust, of Skippack, and Randy S. and Sandy Faust, of Maplewood, N.J.; one sister and brother-in-law, Tracy and John Hoffecker, of Danville; two nieces, Jennifer Harvan and Madeleine Faust; three nephews, Brandon, Matthew and Jeremy Faust; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

A viewing will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Emmanuel Center for Nursing, 600 Schoolhouse Road, Danville, followed by the funeral at 10:30 with the Rev. Dawes J. Dunham, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, Danville, officiating.

Interment will be in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.

The family will provide flowers. Memorials in Gregory’s memory may be made to Emmanuel Center for Nursing, 600 Schoolhouse Road, Danville, PA 17821, or to Suncom Industries, Route 147, Northumberland, PA 17857.

The family would like to thank staff members of Emmanuel Center for Nursing for their compassionate care these past years and Dr. Greg F. Burke and Dr. Efram Vargas-Perex for their dedicated care of Greg.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1715 Bloom Road, Danville.
