— TURBOTVILLE — Nancy L. Fry, 74, formerly of Turbotville, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at Kramm’s Health Care, Milton, after a lengthy illness.

She was born Nov. 1, 1939, in Williamsport, the daughter of the late Wilbur and Roxanna (Pauling) Hively. On Aug. 18, 1962, she married George R. Fry Jr., and they had celebrated 42 years of marriage before his death on Sept. 2, 2004.

She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Turbotville.

Nancy was an emergency medical technician with the Turbotville Fire Company for many years, was one of the founders of the Turbotville Food Co-op and was a 4-H leader.

She was an avid card and game player and enjoyed puzzles. She also enjoyed traveling and living in different parts of the United States with her husband.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Mark Meyer, of Arlington, Va., Donna and Clyde Chappell, of Mifflinburg, and Sandra and Marc Baker, of Williamsport; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Debra Fry, of Muncy Valley; one brother, Robert Hively, of South Williamsport; and eight grandchildren, Jennifer Magargle, Aaron Baker, Jesse Yearick, Alec Chappell, Josh Fry, Ty Baker, Elizabeth Fry and Johanna Baker.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Andrew Magargle, on Dec. 20.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, followed by a memorial service at 11 with the Rev. Stephen R. Smith, of Pleasant View Wesleyan Church, Muncy, officiating.

Burial will follow in Turbotville Cemetery.
