SELINSGROVE — Madeline G. Eisenhauer, 95, of North Eighth Street, passed away at 1:55 a.m. Sunday, March 2, 2014, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
She was born Oct. 18, 1918, in Beaver Springs, the daughter of the late Roy L. and Mae M. (DeLong) Getz. She was married to Francis B. Eisenhauer, who preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 1995.
Madeline was a graduate of Beaver Vocational High School, Beaver Springs.
She worked for many years as a waitress at the Airport Restaurant, Selinsgrove, from where she retired.
Madeline was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Kratzerville.
Early in life, she was a member of the Beaver Springs All Girls Band, in which she played the clarinet. Most recently, she enjoyed bird watching.
She is survived by one son, James L. Eisenhaurer, of Mifflinburg; two granddaughters and their husbands, Pamela K. Schieber and husband, James L. Thorpe, of Mifflinburg, and Tina M. and Todd M. Buckels, of Selinsgrove; six great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Ashley, Chad, Amanda, Brittany and Hannah; three great-great-grandchildren, Chesa, Brinkley and Quorra; and one brother and sister-in-law, Donald E. and Gail M. Getz, of McAlisterville.
She was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Todd Eisenhauer, and two brothers, Carl R. and Fred L. Getz.
Friends and family will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday in the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Barbara J. Collins officiating.
Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Beavertown.
