TURBOTVILLE — Ray M. Cupp, 73, of Comley Road, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was born Oct. 23, 1939, in Williamsport, a son of the late Albert and Hazel (Best) Cupp. He married the former Sandra McCollum on Dec. 23, 1961, and they celebrated 51 years of marriage.
Ray retired from Strohmann’s Bakery, Williamsport.
He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Turbotville.
Ray enjoyed roller skating, woodworking, baseball, wrestling and youth sports and was a big John Wayne fan.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott M. and Aranda Cupp, of Watsontown, and Rick R. and Melissa Cupp, of Turbotville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Merlene G. and Barry Cox and Crystal L. and Jeff Head, all of Turbotville; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Loretta and Max Hugar, of Montgomery, and Mary Hess, of Williamsport; eight grandchildren, Alisha Welch, Danielle Confer, Summer Cupp, Dillon Cupp, Wesley Cupp, Clarence Cupp, Scotty Cupp and Daytona Cupp; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Lee, Alvin, James and Harry Cupp, and one sister, Martha Carole.
Friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, followed by the funeral at 11 with his pastor, the Rev. Erwin C. Roux, officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
