She was a member of the Troy American Legion Auxiliary for 76 years, a regular volunteer at the Troy Community Hospital gift shop, a member of Eastern Star, the Troy Vet’s Club, the Troy Thursday Study Club, and the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees (PASR), among many others.

Bea was an avid reader and writer of countless cards and letters to her long list of friends and family. She had a love of travel and greatly enjoyed her tours of many states and nations, including Alaska, Hawaii, Spain, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand.

In 2010, Bea moved to Lewisburg to live with her daughter, Katharine. She moved to RiverWoods in March 2013, where she was residing at the time of her passing.
