DALMATIA — Gerald W. Snyder Sr., 69, of Dalmatia, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at his son’s home in Middleburg.
He was born Dec. 8, 1943, in Lewisburg, a son of the late William Jacob Reed Snyder and Anna Marie (Poust) Snyder.
Gerald was a 1962 graduate of Milton High School.
He had been employed by ACF, Milton, and Shaffer Trucking, New Kingstown.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Susquehanna Motorcycle Club and Dalmatia Fire Company and was a social member of the American Legion in Dalmatia.
Gerald is survived by his companion of 30 years, Bonnie Sacco, of Dalmatia; one daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Barry Styers, of Mifflinburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Gerald W. Jr. and Dawn Snyder, of Middleburg; one stepson, Tony Sacco, of Lebanon; one stepdaughter, Robin Kissinger and her husband, Tracy, of Dalmatia; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Charles “Skip” Snyder and Anthony Snyder, both of Milton.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Mark Anthony Snyder and Amanda Lynne Whitesel, and a brother, William Snyder.
Friends and relatives will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
