BEAVER SPRINGS — June M. Bojalad, 91, formerly of Beaver Springs, and for more than four years a resident at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove, passed away at 6:50 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2013, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born Aug. 16, 1921, in Beaver Springs, a daughter of the late Fern and Lula (Lepley) Brannan. On Jan. 2, 1944, she married Richard J. Bojalad who preceded her in death on July 29, 1994.
June was a graduate of Beaver Vocational High School.
Earlier in life she had been employed by Kline Motors, Beaver Springs, and later with her husband in the operation of Bojalad Printing, Beaver Springs. She was an antique dealer and had operated out of Roller Mills, Lewisburg for many years.
She attended Beaver Lutheran Church, Beaver Springs, and was a member of the McClure American Legion Auxiliary, an active volunteer with the American Heart Association. Since the 1950s, she was a member of the Women’s Pinochle Club in the Beaver Springs area.
June was an avid traveler and along with her husband they traveled the entire United States.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Maureen B. and John Palovick, of Mount Carmel, and Cindy B. Truesdale, of Pine Grove; five grandchildren, Navy Commander Damian Blossey, Danielle Blossey-Mowery, Jeremy Blossey, Lisa Truesdale, and Richard Truesdale; three stepgrandchildren, Pamela Dotson, Nicole Mowery and Jaclyn Palovick; eight great-grandchildren, Luke, Ben, Belle, Sara and Drew Blossey, and Tyler, Emily and Theodore Truesdale; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Dotson and Lilly Mowery; one sister, Nettie Brannan, of Lemoyne.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Pauline Brannan in infancy.
At her request there will be no viewing. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Adamsburg Cemetery, Beaver Springs with Pastor Nathan Baker-Trinity officiating.
