PORT TREVORTON — Chester M. Horst, 20, of Port Trevorton, died on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after a recent diagnosis with lung cancer.
Chester was born March 8, 1993, in Juniata County, a son of Troy E. and Joan M. (Martin) Horst, of Port Trevorton.
He attended Stauffer Old Order Mennonite Church, Riverview District, Liverpool.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by 13 brothers and sisters, Leslie, Valerie, Faith, Darlene, Evelyn, Travis, Alvin, Dwayne, Lance, Delton, Larisa, Dean Ray, and Stanton Horst, all at home; paternal grandparents, Carmi and Emma Horst, of Shobonier, Ill.; maternal grandfather, Allen B. Martin, of Port Trevorton; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Chester was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Martha S. Martin.
Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a funeral service at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the home of his parents, Troy and Joan Horst, 41 Meiserville Road, Port Trevorton. Additional services at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Stauffer Old Order Mennonite Church Riverview District, Oriental Road and Old Trail Road, Liverpool.
Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
The George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills have been entrusted with the arrangements.
