SELINSGROVE — Miriam D. Black, 62, of Selinsgrove, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
She was born on Jan. 9, 1951, in Lewistown, a daughter of the late George L. and Miriam J. (Dean) Emery. In 2005 she married Richard L. Black who survives.
Miriam attended Juniata schools.
She was previously employed at Weis Markets, Stop 35 and most recently at Walmart as a manager until she retired.
Miriam enjoyed watching NASCAR, camping, fishing, going to yard sales, collecting jewelry and especially loved spending time with her granddaughter Alexis.
Surviving in addition to her husband are one son and daughter-in-law, Rich and Karmella Frampton; one granddaughter, Alexis; and one sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Warren Haubert.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by one brother, Edward; and two sisters, Bonnie and Susan.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Sanctuary of Praise, 4284 West Branch Highway, Lewisburg.
