— DOYLESTOWN — Brenda L. Brown, 55, of Perkasie, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at Doylestown Hospital after a valiant battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife and friend of Joseph E. Brown for more than 36 years.

A resident of Perkasie, Brenda was born in Lewisburg, a daughter of Roger and Nancy Watts. She lived most of her life in Doylestown.

Brenda was our loving wife, friend, mother and Mommom.

A 1976 graduate of Central Bucks High School West, she spent most of her professional life as a retail manager, most recently with Macy’s.

Brenda was an active member of her church, a believer of faith, a giver of charity, an avid quilter and seamstress and a mother to all. She loved her work and took pride in all she did. Even in death, she gave, donating her corneas so others might see.

Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and the beach.

In addition to her husband and parents, Brenda is survived by her children, Joseph Brown, of Perkasie, Amy Brown, of Perkasie, and Joshua Brown, of Doylestown, and her grandchildren, Philip, Zoe, Ayden and Clayton. Also surviving are her siblings, Linda Morgan, of Warminster, Alicia Kear, of Doylestown, Robert Watts, of Dublin, and Lori Trimble, of Spinnerstown; her grandmother, Anna Snyder, of Milton; and her in-laws, Lee and Mary Brown, of Mechanicsville. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends. She considered everyone family.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Glenn Snyder Sr. and Earl and Ethel Watts; great-grandparents, Clara and Stoner; and a brother, Glenn.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Peace Lutheran Church, 100 Old Bethlehem Road, Perkasie, followed by the funeral, which is open to the public, at 11.

Burial will follow in Doylestown Cemetery, Doylestown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Brenda’s memory may be made to Peace Lutheran Church, 100 Old Bethlehem Road, Perkasie, or to Pennridge FISH, P.O. Box 9, Perkasie, PA 18944. The latter is a nonprofit food pantry serving the Pennridge area.
