— LEWISBURG — Dorothy E. “Dottie” Swinehart, 74, of 807 Buffalo Road, passed away Friday evening, April 26, 2013, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.

A native of Union County, she was born March 21, 1939, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Charles William and Dorothy E. (Pennycoff) Swinehart.

Dottie attended the Lewisburg schools and had been a sprayer at Yorktown Kitchens for 30-plus years.

Dottie belonged to the Susquehanna Valley CB Club, and enjoyed traveling and camping.

Dottie is survived by one brother, Perry Swinehart, of Lewisburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and several friends, Mayna Swinehart, of Lewisburg, Ken and Betty Zechman, of Mifflinburg, and Woody and Connie Stahl, of Milton.

She was preceded in death by five siblings, Mary Jane Gentry, Willard Swinehart, Charles William Swinehart, Betty Walker and Hazel Isabell Wolfgang.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Lewisburg Cemetery.

 Funeral arrangements are by the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, Market and Eighth streets. Lewisburg.
