Troy M. Nornhold, 42, Selinsgrove

— SELINSGROVE — Troy M. Nornhold, 42, 13 Greenbrier Ave., passed away at 9:04 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born March 21, 1971, in Lewisburg, a son of Gloria E. (Knepp) Nornhold, of Middleburg, and the late Richard T. Nornhold Sr. On Dec. 23, 2011, he married the former Andrea M. Sterner who survives.

Troy was a graduate of Middleburg High School and Penn State University where he was a marketing major. He remained active with the Penn State Alumni Organization.

He was currently employed at S & E Building, Beaver Springs, and formerly at Penn Lyon Homes, Selinsgrove, and since he was a teenager he was employed seasonally at McClellan Tree Farm, Middleburg.

He was a member Trinity United Methodist Church, Middleburg.

Troy enjoyed traveling, wine making, cooking, entertaining, and served as a scout leader.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by four children, Trent Nornhold, Blake, Brinley and Brant Shellenberger; eight siblings and their spouses, Linda and Keith Long, of Selinsgrove, Richard Nornhold Jr., of Watsontown, Dennis and Patricia Nornhold, of Enola, Robin and Beth Nornhold, of Kreamer, Larae and Dale Keister, of Middleburg, Dennis and Kathy Crossgrove, of Beaver Springs, Karen and Chris Bickhart, of Middleburg, and Keith and Barb Crossgrove, of Paxtonville; six nephews; four nieces; and two great-nephews.

He was preceded in death one sister, Linda Shambach.

Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 51 S. Main St., Middleburg, where the funeral will follow at 11 with the Rev. Arthur Montgomery officiating.

Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, Middleburg.
