McCLURE — Jane Furgison, 67, of the Manor at Penn Village and formerly of McClure, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013, at Sunbury Community Hospital.
She was born on April 12, 1945, in Lewistown, a daughter of Janet Brosius of Beaver Springs.
Jane was a 1963 graduate of West Snyder High School.
She was previously employed at Blough Wagner in Middleburg and Beaver Shoe Factory.
Jane enjoyed going out to eat with the “Belltown gang.”
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are one brother, Harry Furgison, of McClure; one sister and brother-in-law, Melvina and Glen Wagner, of Beaver Springs; her nieces and nephews, Rodney Furgison and wife Fawnda, Glenn Wagner Jr., Kimberly Hillard and husband Shay, Michael Furgison and wife Linda, Kelly Klingler and husband Bill, Brian Furgison and Bonnie Miller; 12 great-nieces and nephews; and seven great-great- nieces and nephews.
Jane was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Furgison; and her maternal grandparents, Wilbur and Sarah Furgison; and her stepfather, Charles Brosius.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bannerville Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Raymond E. Hill officiating.
Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown.
