Ellen M. Kear, 35, Turbotville

TURBOTVILLE — Ellen Marie Kear, 35, of Turbotville, died Sunday, March 31, 2013, as a result of severe injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Route 15 in Kelly Township, Union County.

She was born April 9, 1977, in Bloomsburg, the daughter of William F. and Jean L. (Wolfe) Kear, of Watsontown.

Ellen graduated from Warrior Run High School with the Class of 1996 and received an associate degree in Travel and Tourism/Hospitality Management from the Pittsburgh Technical Institute. She also received an associate degree in Medical Records Technology from the McCann School of Business in Sunbury.

A special, much-loved child from birth, Ellen survived these many years through faith, determination, and the skills of many medical professionals. Her many issues and problems in life were forgotten when she was happy or helping someone else. Over these years and tears, she brought many joyful moments into our lives and to everyone with whom she came in contact.

The greatest gift that Ellen offered is her son Philip Jacob Kear who will be 20 months old on April 2, 2013. Philip will continue in the loving care and family of her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Matthew Spencer, of Lewisburg.

Surviving besides her son, parents and sister and brother-in-law are her Great Aunt J. Patricia Wagner, of Milton, Uncle Robert E. Kear and fiancé, Christine Culver, of Watsontown, cousin David W. Kear, of Woodbridge, Va., and the many neighbors and friends that she made while working at Knoebel’s and living in Elysburg, also at Boscov’s in Selinsgrove, and the many clients that she served while working for DNA Home Care Services in Lewisburg.

Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Crossroads Church of the Nazarene, 71 Nazarene Lane, Milton where she attended church services. The funeral service will be held at the church at 11 a.m. Friday with burial following in Watsontown Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests any other memorials be directed to Crossroads Church of the Nazarene, 71 Nazarene Lane, Suite 1, Milton PA 17847.
