GRATZ — Pearl M. Crissinger, 90, of Gratz, entered eternal life on Sunday, March 31, 2013, in Community General Hospital, Harrisburg.
She was born June 15, 1922, in Leck Kill, a daughter of the late Charles M. and Margaret Salome (Bohner) Masser. She was married to Paul L. Crissinger who preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 2006.
Pearl was a 1940 graduate of Pine Park High School, Leck Kill.
Shewas the oldest charter member of the Emmanuel Wesleyan Church of Gratz and had taught Sunday school for many years.
Pearl was a loving farmer’s wife and will be remembered for her joy of reading, her love of family, and her ministry to the needy.
She is survived by five children and their spouses, Leon R. and Sharon Crissinger, of Gratz, Carol and Lester Hoch, of Berrysburg, Dr. Harold P. and Laurie Crissinger, of Menominee, Mich., Kenneth W. and Karen Crissinger, of Gratz, and Melvin C. and Deborah Crissinger, of Dauphin; nine grandchildren, Bryan Crissinger, Tanya Leppo, Ashley Crissinger, Nathan, Joshua, and Aaron Crissinger, Rachel Calderon, Abigail Jones, and Elizabeth Crissinger; three great-grandchildren, Trent Crissinger, Phoebe Pearl Crissinger and Chloe Calderon; one sister, Verna Brown, of Klingerstown; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, May Romberger Herring and Thelma Wiest; and four brothers, Clarence, Ralph, Clement and H. Felix Masser.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, followed by the funeral at 11, at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, Gratz, with the Rev. Daniel Durkee officiating.
Interment will follow in Emmanuel Wesleyan Cemetery.
