SUNBURY — Jean M. Seasholtz, 86, of Sunbury, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Sunbury Community Hospital after a long illness.
Jean was born in Sunbury on Dec. 3, 1926, a daughter of the late John Robert and Laura (Willard) Fenstermacher.
She graduated from Sunbury High School in 1944 and was the secretary of her class.
She was active and a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ in Sunbury.
Before having her children, she worked for many years for Miller’s Furniture Store as a bookkeeper.
On Oct. 14, 1945, she married Gerald R. Seasholtz, who survives.
Jean’s world revolved around her family, where she was the caregiver, homemaker and adviser. Her world revolved around her total family.
Surviving are her daughter, Debra A. Huffert and partner Karl A. Gause, of Sunbury; two grandchildren Justin R. Huffert and Jamie Seasholtz; one great-grandchild, Julianna Huffert; two brothers, James Fenstermacher, of Sunbury, and Jack Fenstermacher, of York; two sisters, Dorothy Beaver, of Sunbury, and Sandra Nave, of Chickamauga, Ga.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was one son, James E. Seasholtz, and one brother, David Fenstermacher.
Jean and the family requested to have a private service with burial following in St. Luke’s Church Cemetery. The Rev. Michael Beynon, of the First Reformed UCC, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to First Reformed United Church of Christ, Second and Chestnut streets, Sunbury, PA 17801.
