Donald L. Brosius Sr., 61, Sunbury

SUNBURY — Donald L. Brosius Sr., 61, of Sunbury, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Manor Care, Sunbury.

He was born in Sunbury on Nov. 21, 1951, a son of Grace (Mull) Brosius and the late Donald J. Brosius. He married the former Nancy L. Bucher on Aug. 23, 1969.

He was a graduate of SUN Vo-tech and Shikellamy High School in 1970.

Donald was a retired union carpenter. He was a member of the Carpenters’ Union Locl #645.

He was a life member of the Americus Hose Company, Sunbury.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing and woodworking.

His most enjoyable times were those he spent with his grandchildren.

Survivng, in addition to his mother and wife are three children, Ann Marie Tocheloskie and husband Michael, of Elsyburg, Donald Brosius Jr. and wife Jennifer, of Sunbury, and Chad E. Brosius and wife Heather, of Sunbury; five grandchildren, Madilyn, Chelsey, Braden, Rachel and Wyatt; and five siblings, Susan Kogart, of Sunbury, Sandra Stroud, of Rochester, N.Y., Chloe Brosius, of Sunbury, Randy Brosius, of Port Trevorton, and Cora Beck, of Paxinos.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara.

Visitors may call from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 7.

In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make donations to the charity of the donor’s choice.
