Wayne Coup, 63, Mifflinburg

— MIFFLINBURG — Wayne McVey Coup, 63, of 2385 Wildwood Road, passed away on Friday evening, Oct. 11, 2013, at the SUN Home Hospice Care Center, Sunbury.

A native of Union County, he was born May 24, 1950, in Lewisburg, a son of the late James and Mary Mildred (McVey) Coup.

Wayne was a graduate of Lewisburg High School and the former Williamsport Community College.

He was involved in various IT services for over 23 years working with Electronic Data Systems until his retirement.

Wayne was previously active in the American Legion and local bowling and softball leagues.

He is survived by three children, two daughters, Megan Coup, of San Diego, Calif., and Mallory McVey, of Denver, Colo., and one son, Ryan Coup, of San Diego; his ex-wife of 26 years, Maureen Merluzzi; and two brothers, Allen Coup and Tim Finck.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
