NORTHUMBERLAND — A. Thomas “Tom” Trotto, 77, of 15th Street, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at Sunbury Community Hospital.
He was born Nov. 20, 1935, in Sunbury, the son of the late Domenico and Margaret E. (Cellitti) Trotto. On April 12, 1958, he married the former Sheila M. Robb, who survives.
Tom was a 1953 graduate of Northumberland High School.
He retired in 1991 as a foreman from Rea & Derick, Northumberland, where he had been employed for many years.
He was a member of the former St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Northumberland, and a member of the Northumberland Fire Company No. 1, the Northumberland Hook & Ladder, the Point Township Fire Company, the Forty and Eight organization and the former Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8298, Northumberland.
Tom was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Thomas N. Trotto, of Danville, and Nicholas J. and Jeffrey D. Trotto, both of Northumberland; one daughter, Kellie M. Cianflone, of Northumberland; six grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Gloria S. and Raymond J. Forrey, Mary V. and Joseph L. Baslick and Teresa S. Trotto, all of Northumberland; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret L. Trotto.
Friends and family may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King St., Northumberland, where the funeral will begin at 11 with Father Fred Wangwe, A.J., as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland.
