NORTHUMBERLAND — Robert F. Bohner Sr., 84, of Northumberland, passed away Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, in the Kramm Helathcare, Milton.
He was born April 6, 1929, in Sunbury, a son of the late Mark and Theo (Persing) Bohner. He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Romayne Delp in 1973. On Nov. 30, 1974, he married the former Arlene Pope who survives.
He was a 1947 graduate of Sunbury High School and served with the Army during the Korean War.
Robert was formerly employed by the Butter Krust Bakery, Sunbury, Furman Foods, Northumberland and Kennedy VanSaun, Danville.
He was a member of Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, Sunbury, a life member of the Americus Hose Co., Sunbury, the VFW, Sunbury, and the Northumberland Boat Club.
Robert enjoyed boating and camping.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and William Greis, of Sunbury; one son, Robert F. Bohner Jr., of Houston, Texas; one grandson, Ross Heintzelman; and one great-granddaughter, Tarynn.
A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 309 Water St., Northumberland, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Interment will follow in the Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
