— NORTHUMBERLAND — Annabelle Litchard, 86, of Northumberland, passed away Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, in Nottingham Village, Northumberland.

She was born in Northumberland on June 25, 1927, the daughter of the late Earl and Marie (Bollinger) Fromm. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis D. Litchard whom she married on Sept. 27, 1947.

She was a 1945 graduate of Northumberland High School.

Annabelle assisted her husband in the operation of Litchard’s Fruit Market until his death. She began working in the Northumberland County Chief Assessor’s office in 1975 until 1997 when she began working for Congressman Timothy Holden, retiring in 2003. She served on the Northumberland Haloween Parade Committee for 20 years and served on the Northumberland Pineknotter Days Association for over five years.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and John Reed, of Sunbury; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Lewis and Susan Litchard, of Selinsgrove, William and Sandy Litchard, of Danville, and James Litchard and his fiance Lynn Troxell, of Selinsgrove. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and one brother and sister in law, David and Susan Fromm, of Northumberland.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Robert and Albert; and by one sister, Betty.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
