MIDDLEBURG — Isabel G. Yetter, 90, formerly of Middleburg, passed away on Tuesday morning, Sept. 10, 2013, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
For the past three years, Isabel had lived at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
She was born March 30, 1923, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Ralph W. and Grace (Blouch) Shambach. On Oct. 31, 1943, she married William S. Yetter who preceded her in death on March 7, 1967.
Isabel assisted her husband with the operation of the family farm. She later operated Izzy’s Lunch, Middleburg and for more than 20 years was a cook at the Airport Restaurant, Selinsgrove.
She was a member of the Paxtonville United Methodist Church.
Isabel enjoyed dining out and cooking and will be remembered for her Shoo-fly pie.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Calvin W. and Darlene Yetter, of Liverpool; four grandchildren, Brad Yetter, Tammy Ditty, Renee Wagner, and David Britton; and four great-grandchildren, Josh Wagner, Brina Yetter, Jason Ditty and Gordon Britton.
She was preceded in death by one brother, William Shambach.
Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, followed by the funeral at 11, with her pastor, the Rev. Brian L. Lucas officiating.
Burial will be in the Paxtonville Cemetery.
