LEWISBURG — Gladys Arlene (Dressler) Parry, 92, peacefully went home on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at RiverWoods, Lewisburg.
She was born March 24, 1921, a daughter of the late Charlotte (Zeiders) and Boyd Dressler, of Mount Pleasant Mills, Snyder County.
She lived all of her life in rural Port Trevorton, first in her childhood home and then after marrying Glen Parry on Nov. 7, 1942, on the Parry Family Farm. Her last seven years were lived at RiverWoods in Lewisburg.
Her smile could light up a room, and her warmth, love and food nurtured two generations of family along with friends and neighbors.
She left behind many people who loved and cherished her, two daughters and sons-in-law, Lucille and Ralph Sprenkle and Susan and Bobby Jones; two grandchildren and their families, Heather and Bill Posavek Jr. and daughters Chloe and Scarlet, and Adam and Melanie Sprenkle and their children, Aidan and Lola; two sisters and their husbands, Maxine and Robert Klingler and Judy and Rudy Barner; sister-in-law, Mildred Dressler; next-door family, Linda and Steve Herrold; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives are welcome to visit with the family from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Hope United Methodist Church, Main Street, Port Trevorton, followed by a memorial service at 2 with Pastor Kristin Wall-Love, of Hope United Methodist Church, and Chaplain Alice Rauch, of RiverWoods, officiating.
Burial will be private.

The George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
