— MONTANDON — Carl D. Bowersox, 76, of Montandon, lost his courageous 3½ year battle with cancer to enter into the arms of his savior, Jesus Christ and sit at the side of his Lord for eternal rest on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Carl especially loved family and friend gatherings which were many. He celebrated his 76th birthday with family and a party at Bonanza’s.  He was a kind, upbeat and caring person. Carl was preceded in death by his first wife, June Y. (Catherman) Bowersox; and one brother, George Bowersox.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Brooks Funeral Home, 124 Main St., Watsontown with Pastor Butch Woolsey of the Mifflinburg Church of New Life, officiating. There will be no visitation.
