Ned E. Wagner, 86, Mifflinburg

— MIFFLINBURG — Ned Eugene Wagner, 86, of Mifflinburg and most recently residing at RiverWoods, Lewisburg, passed away at 9:05 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at RiverWoods.

He was born Jan. 10, 1927, in Lewisburg, a son of the late John K. and Alma M. (Zimmerman) Wagner.

Ned was a 1945 graduate of Mifflinburg High School. On June 20, 1945, he enlisted in the Army, serving during World War II with the 42nd Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron. He was honorably discharged on Nov. 27, 1946, in Fort Dix, N.J.

He worked as a pipefitter with the Pipefitters Union Local 520.

He was a member of Christ’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewisburg, the Mifflinburg Free and Accepted Masons, Lodge 370, the Mifflinburg American Legion, the Thomas H. Clapham Post 410, and a former member of the Mifflinburg Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 1396

Ned enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing golf.

Surviving are one daughter, Pamela, of Muncy; two grandchildren, Dalton and Alea; one brother, Jack Wagner, of Mifflinburg; two sisters, Lucille Wagner, of Mifflinburg and Nancy Wagner, of Lewisburg; one sister-in-law, Beverly Wagner, of Lewisburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Nelson, and Wilbur Wagner.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Church of the Nazarene, 12 E. Market St., Mifflinburg, followed by the funeral at 2 with the Rev. William F. Petry, interim pastor of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewisburg, officiating.

Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ned`s memory may be made to Christ’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 S. Third Street, Lewisburg, PA 17837.

Funeral arrangements are by the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut St., Mifflinburg.
