— MILTON — Elwood P. Russell, 62, of Mahoning Street, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Lewisburg on Jan. 21, 1951, he was a son of Elwood E. Russell, of West Milton, and the late Faylene (Swartz) Russell. He was married to the former Melanie Klinger, and his death breaks a marital union of 24 years.

Elwood was a 1968 graduate of Lewisburg Area High School and had worked for ConAgra and the Continental Can Co.

He was a loving husband and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He enjoyed hunting, woodworking and carpentry.

He was very proud of his 1939 Studebaker.

He loved coaching minor softball and umpiring for the Little League.

He was a member of Crossroads Church of the Nazarene, Montandon, was a born-again Christian and was honored to serve others.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Matthew and Dawn Russell, of Milton, Jason Russell, of Lewisburg, and Adam and Jennifer Russell, of Milton; his first wife, Melody (Minium) Erb, of Lewisburg; two stepdaughters and their spouses, Kelly and Brent Criswell, of New Columbia, and Erin and Chad Anthony, of Milton; eight grandchildren, Alexa Barton, Amelia Sherman, Emma Criswell, Garrett Russell, Chloe Russell, Gaven Russell, Skye Anthony and Alyvia Russell; two brothers, his twin, Edward N. Russell, of Montandon, and Robert L. Russell, of Allenwood; and one sister, Sandra Russell Keister, of West Milton.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Donna Kay Mack.

Friends and relatives will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Crossroads Church of the Nazarene, 71 Nazarene Lane, Milton, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Larry Keiser officiating.

Burial will be in Milton Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care of the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton.
