DANVILLE — Thomas Bennett, 74, of Bloom Road, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 10, 1939, in Indianapolis, Ind., a son of the late Forest and Kathryn (Darter) Bennett.
Tom served in the Navy. He was employed as a truck driver for 41 years and retired from Don Bowman Trucking. Tom was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Danville. His enjoyments included fishing, gardening and going to auctions. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren and with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him dearly.
He is survived by his loving wife. Joyce Admire. Also surviving are his children, Roxanne Kopelcheck and her husband Dave, Dr. William Admire and his wife Claudia, Bob Admire and his wife Marie, Don Admire and his wife Angela, and Donna Keiser and her husband Jim. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Forest of Indianapolis.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Tom’s life at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 7, at Shiloh United Church of Christ, 500 Bloom St., Danville, with the Rev. Mary B. Schmotzer officiating. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. at the church.
