SELINSGROVE — Randy Lee Conrad, 54, of 1398 Sunbury Road, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, March 18, 2014.
He was born Oct. 29, 1959, a son of the late Melvin and Dorothy (Bird) Conrad. On Aug. 15, 1987, he married the former Kelley J. Laubach who survives. On Aug. 24, 1989, they celebrated the birth of their only son, Jesse Lee Conrad.
Randy was a graduate of Shikellamy High School.
He was employed for more than 25 years at Forest Homes Building Solutions.
With the help of his best friends, Dale and Mary Long, Randy reaffirmed his faith and became a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Selinsgrove.
Randy was an avid fisherman and enjoyed taking his boat to the 1000 Islands with his family and friends. He loved talking about his big Muskie and all the other fish that got away. He was a racing enthusiast and enjoyed watching NASCAR and all the local sprint cars. He was formerly employed at both the Selinsgrove and Clinton County Speedways as a flagman. Randy loved his fur kids, Nico, Onyx and Twister.
In addition to his wife and son, he is survived by one brother, Melvin “Ed” Conrad; one brother-in-law, Roger Long and his companion, Martha Knouse, of Sonestown; numerous nieces and nephews; and his parents-in-law, Bob and Jan Laubach, of Mifflinburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved sister, Audrey Long; and his brother, Terry.
Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday in Wesley United Methodist Church, 300 Rhoades Ave., Selinsgrove, followed by a memorial service at 2 with the Rev. David Dearing officiating.
