NORTHUMBERLAND — Elnora A. Geise, 96, formerly of Point Township, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 12:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland where she had lived since February 2010.

She was born Oct. 1, 1916, in Delmar, Del., a daughter of the late John W. and Emma (Eister) Furman. On March 18, 1918, the family moved to Point Township where her father later founded the Furman Canning Co. On March 23, 1940, she married Norman A. Geise who preceded her in death March 1, 2000. Elnora enjoyed working in her flower garden and won many ribbons for her arrangements at the club’s annual flower show. Elnora’s favorite activity was spending time with her family. She and her husband enjoyed traveling around the United States and the world, especially after his retirement. When they were at home, she never passed up an opportunity to care for her grandchildren.
