LIVERPOOL — Harold E. Chubb Sr., 90, of Liverpool, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the Kinkora Pythian Home, Duncannon.
Harold was born Sept. 15, 1923, in Knousetown, Juniata County, a son of the late Clinton J. and Grace (Arnold) Chubb. He was married for 71 years to the former Helen R. Brown who survives.
He attended Watts grammar schoolhouse in Juniata County.
Harold retired from Hempt Brothers, Inc., Camp Hill.
He was a member of Evangelical Methodist Church, Richfield.
Harold enjoyed hunting, gardening, and making wood craft’s in his shop.
In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by his two children and their spouses, Harold Jr. and Jane Chubb, and Darla C. and Rev. James A. Dunlap, all of Liverpool; two grandchildren, Gregory Dunlap and his wife, Charmaine, of Millerstown, and Shelly Neimond and her husband, James, of McAlisterville; three great-grandchildren, Sheena Marie Dunlap, and Elizabeth and James Neimond; one great-great-granddaughter, Sarah Leeann Longnecker; one sister, Helen C. Beaver, of Millerstown; one brother, Willard Chubb, of Richfield; and nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 606 N. Front St., Liverpool, followed by the funeral at 2, with his pastor, the Rev. Aaron McCarty officiating and the Rev. James Neimond Jr., assisting.
Burial will be made in the Evangelical Methodist Cemetery, Richfield.
