William W. Weader, 84, McClure

— McCLURE — William W. Weader, 84, formerly of McClure, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Ohesson Manor in Lewistown.

He was born Sept. 11, 1929, in McClure, a son of the late John and Effie (Zechman) Weader. On April 6, 1947, he married the former Adeline S. Grenoble who preceded him in death on April 8, 2011.

William attended McClure High School.

After school he was employed at Glen-Gery Brick Co., Beavertown and later in Watsontown until 1963. He then worked for Jack E. Hess Contracting as a mason until his retirement.

William was a member of Baker’s United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed hunting and making trips to his hunting camp in Centre County. He was an avid Yankees baseball fan, however his family and especially his granddaughter where the love of his life.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Linda S. and Andrew Ward, of McClure; one granddaughter, Michelle Aurand and her husband, Brett; one great-granddaughter, Rhiannon Aurand; one sister, Shirley Leister, of McClure; one brother-in-law, Doyle Grenoble, of Milheim; one sister-in-law, Mable Witmer, of Venice, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and John “Skip” Weader.

Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor James Jacobs officiating.

Burial will follow in Baker’s EUB Cemetery, McClure.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in William’s memory may be made to Baker’s EUB Cemetery, Corner of Ulsh Gap and Fairview Road, McClure, PA 17841.
