Beatrice M. Bobb, 99, Beavertown

— BEAVERTOWN — Beatrice M. Bobb, 99, formerly of Market Streeet, passed away at 8:12 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Columbia Cottages assisted living in Palmyra.

She was born on May 8, 1913, in Beaver Springs, a daughter of the late Charles and Elva (Smith) Jenkins. In 1939 she married Paul M. Bobb, who preceded her in death on June 19, 2000.

Mrs. Bobb was a graduate of Beaver Vocational, where she was active in the girls band playing the trombone and also played basketball.

She helped her husband Paul who owned and operated Bobb’s Plumbing with book keeping.

Beatrice was a very active member of Beaver Lutheran Church and also helped other area Lutheran churches where she was the organist for 60 years.

Mrs. Bobb enjoyed working outside especially doing yard work and gardening.

Surviving are two nieces and their husbands, Diane and Bob Mazzoni, of Wilmington, Del. and Suzanne and Dennis Baker, of Warminster; several great nieces and nephews; and also great-great- nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received from 11a.m. to noon Tuesday at Beaver Lutheran Church, Beaver Springs, where the funeral will follow at noon with the Rev. Nathan Baker-Trinity officiating.

Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
