DAUPHIN — Christopher K. Varndell, 62, of Dauphin, passed away on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Hershey Medical Center.
Chris was born in Sunbury, a son of Marian Long Varndell, of Selinsgrove, and the late Herman Christopher Varndell. He was married for 19 years to the former Laura Summers, who survives.
He was member of the Class of 1968 at Selinsgrove Area High School, Class of 1972 at Williamsport Area Community College, Class of 1977 at Bloomsburg University and Class of 1979 at Susquehanna University.
He was retired from AMP, where he was a tool and die maker.
He was a member of Moose Lodge 1173, the NRA, the National Hunters of America and the Fish and Anglers Club. He was involved with the Dauphin Athletic Association, Central Dauphin Wrestling Team and Boy Scout Troop 233.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Ryan and Samantha, Jason and Nicky Varndell; two grandchildren, Ryan Jr. and Kayc; three brothers, Timothy Varndell, Mark Varndell and Joel Varndell, all of Selinsgrove; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at the Hoover Funeral Homes and Crematory Inc., 6011 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, followed by the funeral at 5 with the Rev. John Sproat officiating.
