CHINCOTEAGUE ISLAND, Va. — June E. Cotner, 78, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, Nassawadox, Va.
June was born Jan. 12, 1935, in Allenwood, Pa., a daughter of the late Laura (Neitz) and Clyde Clinton.
She was employed as a clerk for Maddox Campground in Chincoteague Island.
June was a member of Union Baptist Church and the Daughters of Ruth Sunday school class in Chincoteague Island. She also was a member of Ladies Auxiliary Post 323, Watsontown, Pa.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert Cotner, of Chincoteague Island; six children and their spouses, Pam and Ed Ruch, of Montoursville, Pa., Lois Williams and her companion, Jeff Seidel, of Millville, Pa., William and Emma Cotner, of Lewisburg, Pa., Dale Cotner, of Connecticut, Charles Cotner, of Wrightsville, and Mary Huff, of North Carolina; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Cotner Jr., and two sisters, Betty Morgan and Lois Schrader.
Friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 p.m. today at Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, followed by the funeral at 2 with the Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Mount Rose Cemetery, York.
