NEW COLUMBIA — Lloyd W. LaForm, 78, of Treibley Road, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was born Feb. 6, 1935, in Shamokin Dam, a son of the late Willard Calvin LaForm and Thelma Elizabeth (Snyder) LaForm Bollinger. He was married to the former Sonja (Saxton) Walter, who survives. They would have celebrated 25 years of marriage in December.
Lloyd was a 1953 graduate of Lewisburg High School and served in the Navy during the Korean War.
He was employed as a truck driver, working for Branch, Dick Moyer and himself.
He was a member of American Legion Post 72, Milton, and the Teamsters.
Lloyd was an avid Phillies and Penn State fan. He loved spending time with his miniature schnauzer, Phoebe.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Dean LaForm, of Milton; two daughters and one son-in-law, Patricia Gibson, of Williamsport, and Nicole and Chad Kister, of Winfield; one stepson, Chris Walter, of White Deer; two stepdaughters and one stepson-in-law, Tracy and Jim Boyles, of Milton, and Lisa Edinger, of Dewart; 12 grandchildren, Markie, Brooke, Britany, Austin, Kirsten, Sonja, Ian, Emily, Garrett, Tanae, Aaron and Linsey; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Judy Bollinger, of Penn Furnace; and three sisters and one brother-in-law, Doris Caris, of New Columbia, Anne Bollinger, of Ohio, and Julie and Nelson Jones, of San Diego, Calif.
He was preceded in death by one stepson, Charles “Mickey” Walter.
Friends and relatives will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. John E. Lee officiating.
Burial will be in White Deer Cemetery, Lewisburg.
