COAL TOWNSHIP — Francis L. “Frank” Zurick Jr., 60, of 4439 State Route 125, passed away Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at his home. He was in ailing health for the past five months.
Francis was born Oct. 18, 1953, in Shamokin. He was the son the late Francis L. and Rita M. (Smgelskie) Zurick Sr. Francis was married May 23, 1982, in the Trevorton United Methodist Church to the former Darlene E. Baker, who survives.
Early in life, Frank lived in Pamona, N.Y., and was a resident of Burnside since 1979. He attended Ramapo Senior High School, N.Y.
He worked at the former Anthra Textiles, Kulpmont, for 24 years, most resent employment was for Wegman’s Warehouse for eight years.
Frank enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sporting events, riding his ATV, playing guitar, gardening, and being with his three dogs, Lacey, Cooper and Chloe.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are one stepdaughter and husband, Jody and James Forbes, of Coal Township; and two stepgrandchildren, Kelsey Forbes and Brent Forbes.
He was preceded in death by one stepson, Thomas S. Feese.
There will be no calling hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
