McCLURE — Chester W. Kerstetter, 70, of McClure, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013.
He was born April 16, 1943, in Milroy, a son of the late Randall J. and Grace (McElhoe) Kerstetter. On Dec. 18, 1970, he married the former Judy A. Knepp, who survives.
Earlier in life, he had been employed at Heeter’s Lumber, Beavertown. He retired from Bingaman & Son Lumber, Kreamer, and most recently was employed with Pheasant Valley Recycling, Lewistown.
He was a member of New Lancaster Valley Evangelical Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Gary W. Kerstetter and wife Amy, of McClure, and Danny Knepp and his companion, Jennifer Freed, of Lewistown; four grandchildren, Destiny Kerstetter, Drew Kerstetter, Daniel Knepp and Jenna Knepp; two brothers, Robert Kerstetter, of Reading, and Ronald Kerstetter, of Mapleton Depot; and two sisters, Anna May Kelley and Nancy Kerstetter, both of Lewistown.
He was preceded in death by one brother, John R. Kerstetter, and one sister, Joann Kerstetter, in infancy.
A visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Bohn Funeral Home, 55 N. Main St., Reedsville, followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Jim Richard and Pastor Nathaniel Kincaid officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy.
