HERNDON — Shirley A. Lubold, 71, of Herndon, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2013, peacefully, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born in Malta on Oct. 3, 1941, a daughter of the late Hilda (Shipman) Stitley and the late Morris Stitley .
Shirley was employed as a seamstress for Dalmatia Blouse and other local factories.
She was the wife of the late Leonard “Pap” Lubold, who preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 2012
She was a member of Paxton Bible Church, Milliersburg.
Shirley is survived by two daughters, Esther Haupt, of McAdoo, and Joyce Swartz, of McAdoo; two sons, Leonard Lubold, of Herndon, and Richard Lubold of New Casltle, Va.; one brother, Ken Stitley, of Shamokin Dam; four sisters, Margaret Gast, of Lancaster, Dorene Stitley, of Akron, Diane Winters, of Annapolis, Md., and Judith Stitley, of Kahai, HI; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother Ronald Stitley and one sister Jean Stitley.
Visitors may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Dan Lepley officiating.
Burial will be in the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
