— LEWISBURG — Betty Lou Rearick, 82, passed away Friday morning, Nov. 9, 2012, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg, where she had been a resident for the past two months. Prior to entering Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, she had lived at Datesman Village in West Milton and Pine Ridge Road in Lewisburg.

She was born Jan. 16, 1930, in White Deer, a daughter of the late Clarence and Florence (Wertz) Raup. On March 6, 1953, she married Glenn E. Rearick, who passed away Dec. 9, 2010. Together they celebrated 57 years of marriage.

Betty was a graduate of Watsontown High School.

She was a homemaker and a caregiver to her family as well as many others. She held several jobs as a cook.

She was of the Lutheran faith.

Betty enjoyed needlework.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Richard G. Mabus Jr., of Winfield, and Sandra and Michael Mattocks, of New Berlin; one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Kathy Rearick, of Mount Carmel; two grandsons and their wives, Richard Graham III and Michele Mabus, of Landisville and Ryan and Lisa Mattocks, of Silver Spring, Md.; one granddaughter and her husband, Deirdre and Stephen Bertotti, of Media; and three great-grandchildren, Caleb and Sarah Mabus and Audrey Belle Mattocks; and one sister, Shirley Pettit, of Williamsport.

She was predeceased by one brother, Fred Raup; and three sisters, Ruth Shaffer, Dorothy R. Bergstrom and Kathryne Hummel.

A private graveside service for the family will be held on Sunday, Nov. 18, with the Rev. Ricky A. Phillips, Evangelical Hospice Chaplain, pastor of St. John’s Church of Dry Valley, Winfield and Mazeppa Union Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Harmony Cemetery, Milton.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown.
