PORT TREVORTON — William M. Wanner, 70, of 7228 S. Susquehanna Trail, died on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at his residence.
He was born May 20, 1942, in Ephrata, a son of the late Daniel and Jannie (Martin) Wanner. He was the husband of Ruth B. (Martin) Wanner to whom he was married for 44 years.
William was a member of Chapman Old Order Mennonite Church, Port Trevorton.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 11 children, Louella married to Robert White, Noreen married to David Auker, Erla Mae Wanner, Joanna married to Julian Horst, MaryAnn married to Clifford Horst, William Wanner Jr., Suetta married to Samuel Brubaker, Eileen Wanner, Jason Wanner married to Minerva Martin, Lisa Wanner, and Lamar Wanner married to Lynette Brubaker, all of Port Trevorton; 31 grandchildren; five brothers, Harry Wanner, of Holland, Ky., Daniel Wanner, of Ephrata, Martin Wanner and John Wanner, both of Port Trevorton, and Aaron Wanner, of Mount Pleasant Mills; five sisters; Ella Rissler and Ada Martin, of Ephrata, Mary Wanner, of Lancaster, Barbara Wanner, of Canada, and Anna Martin, of Mount Pleasant Mills.
William was preceded by a daughter; Rosene Wanner on Sept. 16, 1980; and a brother, Samuel Wanner.
Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 1 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the family home, 7228 S. Susquehanna Trail, Port Trevorton. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the family home with further services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chapman Old Order Mennonite Church, Blackwoods Road, Port Trevorton.
Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
The George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills have been entrusted with the arrangements.
