BEAVER SPRINGS — Michael L. Auker, 52, of Route 235, passed away early Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born March 4, 1960, in Lewistown, a son of the late Joseph F. Sr. and Bernice E. (Willowby) Auker.
Michael attended West Snyder High School.
Mr. Auker previously had been employed in farming and tree trimming. He also worked for Apex Homes, Middleburg.
Michael enjoyed watching football and visiting friends. He was always smiling and giving a friendly hello to everyone and enjoyed flirting with pretty women.
Surviving are one brother and sister-in-law, Joseph Jr. and Beverly A. Auker; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Bonnie and James Downer, of Beavertown, Deb Maneval, of Huntingdon, and Evelyn Sue and Allan Wilt, of Beaver Springs; one sister-in-law, Pearl Auker, of York; his aunt, Mildred Varner, of Beaver Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Pastor Gary Auker Sr.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Faith Baptist Church, Snyder Avenue and Walnut Street, Beaver Springs, where a memorial service will follow at 11 with Pastor Harry Wonderland officiating.
Arrangements are by the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown.
