LEWISBURG — Vivian M. Miller, 88, of Lewisburg, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at RiverWoods, Lewisburg.
She was born Dec. 5, 1924, in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Theodore and Mildred (Pierce) Laurenson.
Vivian was a graduate of the Peirce School of Business, now Peirce College, Philadelphia. Always keen to further her education, she took additional courses at Montgomery County Community College.
Vivian worked for many years in early childhood education. She owned and operated Sunberry Hill Nursery School in Jarrettown.
She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church, Sunbury, and was a former member of the Sunbury Garden Club.
Vivian enjoyed sewing and gardening.
Surviving are one son, William Cliver, of Philadelphia; three daughters, Amy Miller, of London, England, Deborah Cliver, of Florida, and Robin Sample, of Oklahoma; one brother, Theodore Laurenson; one sister, Joan Hutchinson; and four grandchildren, Tristan, Godwin, Sibella and Prudence.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at St. Monica Catholic Church, 109 Market St., Sunbury, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 with her priest, the Rev. Fred Wangwe, officiating.
Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg.
The family is being assisted by the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis streets, Lewisburg.
