DANVILLE — Mary A. Berry, 88, of Danville, passed away at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at Grandview Health Services Inc., Danville.
She was born July 4, 1925, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late William L. and Nan M. (Conrad) Blain. She was married to John R. Berry, who preceded her in death Sept. 27, 1978.
Mary was employed by Westinghouse, Sunbury, Billman’s Restaurant, Sunbury, and the Pine Barn Inn, Danville.
She was a member of Pine Street Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dean A. and Janet Berry, of Danville; two grandchildren, Dean Berry Jr., of Danville, and Melissa Foose and husband Brian, of Rupert; five great-grandchildren, Darren, Conner, Noah, Jacob and Cody; and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Claude, John and William, and four sisters, Blanche, Ruth, Martha and Kate.
Friends will be received from 10 to 10:55 a.m. Monday at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home Inc., 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 11 with Pastor E. Keith Pittsnogle officiating.
Interment will follow in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
