SUNBURY — Anna M. Minot, 82, of Sunbury, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, in her home with her loving husband, Larry, by her side.
Anna was born Nov. 19, 1931, in Kratzerville, a daughter of the late John A. and Ada (Crossgrove) Marks. On June 21, 1952, she married Larry B. Minot, who survives.
During her working years, Anna was employed by Westinghouse, the Sunbury Silk Mill and Wil-hold.
She was a very faithful member of her church, Otterbein United Methodist Church, Sunbury, for more than 60 years. She was active on the Pastor Parish Board, the nominating committee and the finance committee. She and Larry also planted and took care of the flowers and shrubbery around her church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one sister, Blanche Gaugler, of Selinsgrove; two brothers, Ralph Marks, of Hughesville, and Roy Marks, of Winfield; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda Ann Minot, in 1985; one brother, Guy “Sam” Marks; and three sisters, Katherine Gaugler, Martha Roslon and Helen Gray.
Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:55 a.m. Thursday at Otterbein United Methodist Church, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Edward Cope officiating.
Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anna’s memory may be made to SUN Home Hospice, 61 Duke St., Northumberland.
