SUNBURY — Marie B. Corbin, 90, a former resident of Airport Road, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, in the Buffalo Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.
She was born Sept. 30, 1922, in Monroe Township, Snyder County, a daughter of the late Clarence and Ethel (Hummel) Bailey. On June 15, 1940, in Hagerstown, she married Bernard C. Corbin who preceded her in death on Oct. 27, 1999.
She was a 1940 graduate of Northumberland High School.
Marie was a retired seamstress and had been employed by Nite Kraft, Sunbury, David Knit, Northumberland, and the Leader Nursing Home.
She was a member of the United Lutheran Church, Sunbury.
Marie enjoyed knitting, sewing, word games, traveling and geneology. She will be greatly missed by her children and extended family.
She is survived by three children and their spouses, Judy Brosious and Richard and Teresa Corbin, all of Sunbury, and Cindy and Frank Moyer, of Centre Hall; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Darlene and Kevin Brown, Kevin and Jill Brosious, Adam and Jennifer Brosious, Todd Fegley, Brenda and George Ziegler Jr., Jason Fegley, Michael and Tina Corbin, Daniel and Melissa Corbin, and Jonathan Corbin and companion, Sheila Rotolo; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Leah Bingaman, of New Berlin; and two brothers, Landon Bailey, of California, and Clarence Bailey, of Georgia.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Celia Sulouff.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in United Lutheran Church, 167 Seven Points Road, Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 11.
Burial in Shreiner’s Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to made donations to the Elevator Fund of the United Lutheran Church, 167 Seven Points Road, Sunbury, PA 17801.
