Faye Kieffer, 85, Dornsife

— DORNSIFE — Faye Kieffer, 85, of Dornsife, enetered into eternal life on Friday, March 22, 2013, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

She was born Sept. 24, 1927, in Leck Kill, a daughter of the late J. Emory and Helen (Geist) Reitz. On April 16, 1949, she married Derl Kieffer who died on March 23, 2013, from injuries sustained in the automobile accident. Her passing broke a marital union of more than 63 years.

Fay was a 1945 graduate of Pine Park High School, Leck Kill.

She was employed by Westinghouse Corporaton, Sunbury, was a seamstress for several dress factories in the Shamokin area, and retired from the Selinsgrove Center in 1990.

Faye was a faithful member of Himmel’s Church, Rebuck, and its adult Sunday school class.

She enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques, decorating her home and spending time with her family. She took great pride in the appearance of her home and enjoyed decorating for all holidays.

Faye was a loving wife, mother and sister and is survived by her son, Dennis, of Mechanicsburg; two sisters, Lila Rebuck, of Leck Kill, and Leah Knerr and husband, Ronald, of Frederick, Md.; one brother, John Reitz and wife, MaryAnne, of Hanover; one brother-in-law, Frank Brosious, of Chambersburg; one sister-in-law, Mae (Kieffer) Zerby and husband, Claude, of Dornsife; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, June Brosious, and her brother-in-law, Paul Rebuck.

Faye will be greatly missed by her family, friends and neighbors for her caring and gentle nature.

Friends and family will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Himmel’s Church, 1941 Schwaben Creek Road, Rebuck, followed by the funeral at 11, with Pastor Jane Compton officiating.

Flowers will be provided by the family. Memorial gifts in Faye’s memory may be made to Himmel’s Church, 1941 Schwaben Creek Road, Rebuck, PA 17867.
